Congratulations to an exciting, emerging growth company coming out of Wisconsin. Murfie.com is a Madison-based site designed for music lovers to convert and store compact discs as digital files. The site also provides the option to sell unwanted discs. It’s been steadily gaining popularity over the past year, and was just recently featured on Yahoo News AND in USA Today!

Matt Younkle and Preston Austin founded Murfie in May 2011. Younkle’s product development achievements include the first food ever to be grown in space and Turbo Tap, the world’s fastest retrofittable beer tap. Austin brings to the table over two decades of experience in emerging technology.

In January 2012, Murfie closed a funding round of $1.4 million, which gave them a solid foundation to move ahead with new phases of development. The funds helped scale up their technical and operational infrastructure as well as focus their marketing initiatives.
