Wisconsin has steadily cultivated an ecosystem of innovative companies across a wide range of industries, and the creative thinkers behind these ideas deserve recognition. The Wisconsin Innovation Awards (WIA) are currently seeking nominations for their third annual business competition to celebrate that creative spirit.

The WIA recognize that innovation continuously springs up throughout the state in various shapes, from Internet startups and biotech companies, to a wide spectrum of other industries including manufacturing, sustainable agriculture, life sciences, education, health care information, paper and nonprofits.

With precursor events in Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire and Green Bay, the 2016 WIA will bring together a diverse array of creative pioneers, current nominees and past winners to celebrate groundbreaking ideas from around the state and share Wisconsin’s finest artisan food and drinks. The official awards ceremony will be held August 16 in Madison.

Past winners include Boldt Construction, Exact Sciences, Study Blue, Milwaukee Water Council and Stemina Biomarker Discovery Inc., among others.
