Primarily focused on Wisconsin’s southeastern and south central regions, the Wisconsin Super Angel Fund invests in a range of startups. The Milwaukee-based fund targets Wisconsin ventures to be as hands-on as companies need. Its seasoned group of investors, company owners and executives sit on boards of directors, offer mentorship opportunities and make connections to banks, customers and vendors, as well as helping with strategic planning. Since its inception in 2013, WSAF has invested in 12 Wisconsin companies. It aims at early exits in three to five years. Among its portfolio of investments are companies RentCollegePads, Phoenix Nuclear Labs and MCT Digital Inc., which recently won Product of the Year at the national SGIA printing exposition.
