Kelly Lietz is the vice president of marketing and communications for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), Wisconsin’s lead economic development organization.
Kelly has 15 years of public relations, marketing and brand development experience, including work for some of the world’s leading consumer and business-to-business brands. A native of Wisconsin, Kelly has studied and worked internationally. He gained a valuable perspective on international marketing and trade while living in Singapore and working for an affiliate office of a world-leading public relations agency.
Since returning to Wisconsin, Kelly has worked with respected Wisconsin companies as an agency representative for Stephan and Brady, Inc. He went on to serve as a communications manager for the accounting firm Williams Young, which would later merge with Wipfli, LLP. Most recently, Kelly served as the vice president of marketing for Park Bank in Madison, Wisconsin.
Additionally, Kelly has served as chair of the YMCA of Dane County’s marketing committee and is on the YMCA of Dane County Board of Directors. Kelly has also served as the director of membership for the International Association of Business Communicators.
Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in English and linguistics and a master’s degree in English with a linguistics concentration from UW−Milwaukee; as well as a master’s degree from Oklahoma City University in mass communications.
