Event will provide cost-effective ideas on how businesses, communities and property owners can work together to transform their downtowns

MADISON, WI. Aug. 16, 2017 – The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), in partnership with the La Farge Area Partners Association and Organic Valley, is hosting a downtown design workshop from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the La Farge Community Center, 202 N. State St.

Joe Lawniczak, downtown design specialist with WEDC, will share best practices in downtown design and will discuss how communities, businesses and property owners can partner on cost-effective solutions to downtown transformation.

Participants will learn how streetscaping, building improvements, window displays, signage and public spaces can help to attract visitors and make them feel welcome, driving traffic within your community and enhancing your downtown charm.
