Overall startup investment up in second quarter of 2018

This issue of INvest showcases the Wisconsin Deal Flow Snapshot for the second quarter of 2018. According to data from Pitchbook, overall investment in Wisconsin startups during this quarter increased by more than $81 million compared to the same period last year, to total more than $107 million.

In 2017, 22 companies raised a total of $26 million during Q2. This year, more companies are raising funding rounds larger than $5 million, which showcases the growth in Wisconsin's startup and early-stage ecosystem. This level of investment is an encouraging sign for a strong 2018.
