Catalent Pharma Expansion Will Bring Hundreds of Jobs to Madison

Catalent Pharma Solutions, a leading provider of pharmaceutical delivery and development solutions, recently announced plans for a $34 million expansion of its Madison facility, which will help double the size of the company’s workforce in the city.

The project features a 22,000-square-foot expansion to the company’s existing facility to increase manufacturing, laboratory and administrative space. In addition to the 102 jobs projected to be created by the expansion, an economic modeling study by WEDC estimates the project will create another 214 jobs in the region, both directly and indirectly.

To help spur the expansion, WEDC awarded Catalent with up to $1 million in state tax credits, pending the level of capital investment made in Madison over the next three years. Learn more about Catalent’s expansion project.
