Hobart, Westport Sites Now Certified In Wisconsin®

The Certified In Wisconsin® program, which sets consistent standards for the certification of industrial sites throughout the state, recently added two new locations to its growing list of shovel-ready sites. Industrial sites located in Hobart and Westport have now been deemed certified, enabling faster turnaround times, quick approvals and low-risk locations for companies to break ground on new development projects.

The newly certified Hobart site is conveniently located adjacent to the Austin Straubel International Airport in the Green Bay area, the fourth most populous and third fastest growing county in the state. The Westport site is located just 10 minutes north of Madison, and is home to the North Mendota Energy and Technology Park, 33 acres of contiguous buildable land, located five minutes away from the Dane County Regional Airport. Currently there are 15 Certified Sites in locations throughout the state, with $230 million in capital investment to date. Site locations include:

•    Beaver Dam •    Beloit •    Chippewa Falls •    DeForest •    Fitchburg •    Hobart •    Howard •    Janesville

•    Menomonie •    Prescott •    Stevens Point •    Verona •    West Bend •    Westport •    Wisconsin Rapids
