LAKEFRONT LEVERAGES LOCATION TO INCREASE PRODUCTION
Lakefront Brewery began its operations in Milwaukee, starting out in a former bakery, using Wisconsin-made dairy equipment to brew its beer. But as demand for their products grew, Russell and Jim Klisch, Lakefront Brewery founders, needed to find a larger location to increase production. With help from the city of Milwaukee, the brothers purchased an old power plant in downtown Milwaukee to house their new brewery. Eventually, Lakefront was able to purchase state-of-the-art brewing equipment and hire some of the area’s top brewers to help run its facility, which cranks out more than 33,000 barrels of beer per year.
