The 2014 Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, Nov. 12-13, at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison, is designed to unlock the state’s entrepreneurial potential. Produced by the Wisconsin Technology Council, the conference gives selected companies the opportunity to make presentations and meet with investors.

Featured speakers include Kevin Conroy, CEO, and Maneesh Arora, COO, of Exact Sciences, a Madison-based company that has developed an at-home screening for colon cancer. The conference will also feature Francois Ortalo-Magne, dean of the Wisconsin School of Business.

The Early Stage Symposium will include panel discussions organized across three concurrent tracks. The line-up highlights a series of discussions focused on the funding hurdles for entrepreneurs and the investment climate within the region. Other panel discussions will drill into some of the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs at all stages of growth.

In addition, a “Reverse Elevator Pitch” will give entrepreneurs an opportunity to hear directly from angel groups and early stage funds on how, when and where they invest. For more information and to register for the conference, visit: http://www.wisconsintechnologycouncil.com/events/earlystage/.
