Flyover Capital, based in Leawood, Kansas, was founded in 2014 on the premise that it would seek out and support entrepreneurs and innovators in the Midwest, sometimes called the “flyover” states. The firm focuses on entrepreneurs solving widespread market problems, preferably ones they have experienced themselves. Since its inception, the group has funded seven companies, including Madison-based ABODO. Although ABODO was the firm’s first investment in Wisconsin, Flyover is actively looking for investment opportunities throughout the state after seeing impressive entrepreneurial environments in cities like Madison and Milwaukee.
