Participates in first board meeting at Schlitz Park in Milwaukee
MADISON, WI. April 22, 2016 – Governor Walker appointed David J. Drury to the board of directors of Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) where he will serve as treasurer and a member of the audit and budget and finance committees. Drury is currently a partner with Milwaukee based Wing Capital Group.
Drury was previously the president and owner of Poblocki Sign Company, LLC, a privately held firm that designs, manufactures and installs custom interior and exterior signage for clients nationwide. Prior to Poblocki, Drury was the president and owner of Stolper-Fabralloy Company, a supplier of components to the aerospace and gas turbine generator industries.
In addition to being a business owner, Drury brings to WEDC experience as an auditor and CPA previously serving as managing partner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Milwaukee office.
“David is exceptionally qualified to serve Wisconsin on the WEDC board. His experience as a CPA, manufacturer, and non-profit board member will be an asset to the talented and dedicated WEDC board,” explained Mark Hogan, Secretary and CEO of WEDC. “David will strengthen our board to achieve its mission of fostering economic growth in Wisconsin.”
In addition to his seat as treasurer of WEDC’s Board, Drury currently serves on the boards of Northwestern Mutual, Plexus Corp., Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Drury graduated in accounting from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.
