The fifth annual Wisconsin Tech Summit, to be held March 19 at the GE Healthcare Institute in Waukesha, is an event that will bring together major companies and emerging firms in a setting that allows them to meet and explore potential business relationships around technology needs and innovation.

Emerging companies will be given the opportunity to connect with larger, established firms to network and explore how complementary innovations and technology needs might match up during 15-minute “speed date” meetings.

The day-long event will feature an opening panel of large firms, open meeting times with major companies outside of the scheduled 15-minute meet-ups, and a closing keynote speaker.

The Wisconsin Technology Council created the event as a venue to communicate and exchange ideas, since otherwise, small and large companies often exist in different “orbits” and only collide by chance.

Major companies screened the applications and will select the emerging companies they wish to meet with based on the information provided. Applications were also welcome from early-stage funds that wanted to introduce portfolio companies and otherwise connect with major companies.
