First recognized in 2017, National Hire a Veteran Day aims to raise awareness among employers that highly qualified talent exists among veterans and transitioning service members, and to encourage them to consider these candidates when filling open positions.

With Wisconsin offering more veteran benefits than any other state, it’s no surprise many companies have initiatives that directly focus on hiring transitioning service members or veterans, regardless of the day or time of year.
