With more investment opportunities happening in the state than ever before, OnRamp Wisconsin is an exciting development for entrepreneurs. OnRamp is an event that helps startups find potential sales channels and provides a way for established companies to interact with the entrepreneurial community. The event was created by gener8tor and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and fills a need that startups often face—the ability to get customers to validate their businesses from the start.

Having customers (especially big name customers) greatly increases a startup’s chances of survival. That’s the beauty of OnRamp. At the last event, held at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel offices on December 6, established companies, including American Family Insurance, the Milwaukee Bucks, Assurant Health, Granite MEDSystems, Menasha Corp., and Nordic Consulting were in attendance and ready to meet entrepreneurs to do business with.

The best part of this program is that each established company participating in an OnRamp event has committed to either purchase from or mentor one of the four to six startups it meets with. It’s business development opportunities like this when a startup starts taking it to the next level.

Kudos to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and gener8tor for their commitment to helping Wisconsin’s emerging entrepreneurs succeed. For details about the December 6 event, click here.
