COME HOME AGAIN TO WISCONSIN
Matt Kalua grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, where he became very talented at soccer. So talented, in fact, that he was recruited to play for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Matt graduated in 2007 with a degree in business and moved to Washington, D.C., believing he’d find a richer pool of career opportunities there. Not only was he wrong about that, but he indicates “living and doing business there opened my eyes to the business opportunities I saw in Wisconsin while living there. I also knew the lower cost of living and educational opportunities would be beneficial for my family.” Matt works independently as a payment services provider for Capital Bankcard, one of the most respected organizations in the merchant services industry supporting over 80,000 merchants. As such, Matt can work from anywhere. He chose Wisconsin.
In telling us why, Matt emphasizes not only the business opportunities here but also the quality of life in Wisconsin for his family. Matt now lives with his wife and two children in Madison where he continues to enjoy soccer, nights out with his family and all that Wisconsin has to offer.
