Bringing the Restaurant to You
Founded in 2010 by UW-Madison graduates Matt Howard, Alex Wyler and Eric Martell, EatStreet is a free online and mobile food ordering service that connects users with their favorite food from a variety of local restaurants. Users can sign up with EatStreet to order food, receive weekly deals and ongoing rewards and donate 5 percent of their order to a local nonprofit. By handling online ordering and payment, EatStreet allows restaurants to focus on what they do best—making food.
A Better Solution for Mobile Ordering
The company found an ideal first market in UW-Madison’s student population, and was able to pilot its service with Madison-area restaurants, testing features that make the service easy and enjoyable to use for both restaurants and their customers. EatStreet graduated from the gener8tor business accelerator, and was a finalist in the 2016 Wisconsin Innovation Awards. Today, ordering through EatStreet is available in nearly 150 cities, and EatStreet has raised $28 million from investors.
