It’s never too early to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit – and the WMC Foundation, the educational division of the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, is trying to instill that spirit into high school and middle school students around the state through their Mini Business World program. The next program will take place at Waupaca Middle School Friday, Feb. 5.
Mini Business World is a day-long session on entrepreneurship and business that challenges participants to learn the obstacles entrepreneurs face each day, as well as encourage collaboration to find new solutions.
In the coming Waupaca session, students will be given an outdated brand and asked to rebrand the company, complete with new logo, product and tagline, while coordinating finance, marketing and communications issues that arise. Through the presentations and projects, the program aims to educate students about Wisconsin’s economy and the opportunities available for entrepreneurs.
The program was created as a precursor to the full four-day Business World summer programs put on by WMC Foundation on college campuses around the state.
